Hello,

i read many topic on this board.
during a firm upgrade, i shutdown my divx player. so my atacom 967 can't now show lcd info or ejecting cd.
i bought a nokia 3310 serial cable data.
i can see the 4 pin on the divx board (GND,TX,RX,POWER)

My nokia 3310 cable have also 4 wires
BLACK -> GND
BLUE -> TX
the others are i'm supposed RX and POWER 3.3V

So there is my questions :

1/ Can i use only 3 wires (GND,TX,RX) to send my 967.BIN firmware , while my divx player is power on ? In fact, can i omit to power the board with the POWER wire ?

2/ I'm not under windows, can i use the linux minicom to send my firmware ?
Can i imitate the MTZ Tool to send my firmware under linux ?
What are the serial parameters to send correctly the firm ? speed,parity,....
